While I was birding...

Variegated Meadowhawk


I love the camouflage!
Cabbage White Butterfly - probably the most abundant butterfly I see
Locust - this locust looks likes its covered with mildew.  In flight, it's wings sport the most amazing color of red which eluded my ability to focus on with the camera.
Meadowhawk - which kind? Western?

  8. Fantastic nature images! I'm especially fond of the first photograph (GREAT angle and details) but they all are wonderful. There is always something beautiful and interesting to see while birding. A pleasure to visit your blog, as always!
